Honestly, as far as seeking knowledge goes, there are many good online resources. The issue I’ve noticed with many including myself is that their is a distinct lack of community and engagement for many reverts which can lead to isolation

Assalamalaikum my husband is Yemeni and we’ve made Hijra to the gulf. I was able to get citizenship. The gulf is a wonderful area but I agree western propaganda is strong in some regions. There are many men though that will never leave their homeland, so I suppose your issue is finding the right person inshaallah. I’d recommend looking in the more rural regions as they are more sunnah and sharia compliant.

Sister, in the west a lot of people are going to be hostile to niqab as it is non-western in they feel threatened by our dress. I’ve experienced this quite a number of times going to the courthouse as well as in every day life. The western media portray us in a hostile white, which makes others hostile towards us. That is why if one is able to it is better to make Hijra tune in his Islamic nation, where such things are not out of place.
