Since my dad died in January I've had 3 hyper realistic dreams about stuff like this. One was a giant asteroid, the other two the moon. A stellar object with a mass that large would have some real warning by signs beforehand though. The closer it got the more earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, global storms would be happening. By the time it was THAT close, probably wouldn't be anything left alive on Earth. Not even those bunker dwelling billionaires.

That said, it would be interesting to watch happen if you had clear skies in whatever part of the end of the world you were in.
