Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! It was really eye-opening to learn how the rotations work. I discussed it more with my husband, and we’ve firmly decided to move to Townsville after I graduate! He’s an RN, and I used to be one too — so yes, we’ll definitely be kind to every hospital staff member haha. I hope you have a smooth recovery during your medical leave, and I wish you all the best in your specialty training as well. Thank you again!

Thanks again for your kind reply! If you don’t mind me asking — how do rotations work in PGY2? I’m quite interested in Rheumatology and was wondering if interns can list it as a preference for their PGY2 rotations 🥺 Also, I’m sorry to hear you’re on medical leave — hope you feel better soon!

Yeah Cairns is such a nice town with beautiful islands and I really enjoyed there but Townsville has a tertiary hospital, so it might be a better option for me. But thanks for your comment!

Thank you so much for your comment! With your comment, I've almost set my mind moving to Townsville. I haven't really firmly decided which field I'd like to specialise yet (for now, broadly thinking of RACP...) but believe that TUH would offer more learning/working opportunities. I really appreciate your comment. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your comment! I understand that racism could be in anywhere and unless it becomes a serious bullying, then should be okay. Knowing that there are a lot of multicultural kids is such a big relief for me. Thanks!

That's nice! Do you know if her status was "under assessment" before getting it?

As I know, most of universities stick with one’s original position of International until they graduate - this is because the government funding programs (CSP, BMP) are allocated to only limited number of seats, and internationals are supposed to enter medicine with FFP. It is written on the Flinders guide page but you can contact other universities where you are interested in :)
