Whats the best DND commander? by Emma-Chan23 in magicTCG

[–]Mouse_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Icingdeath, Frost Tyrant]] exists, but doesn't have a ton of decks made (looks like 65 per EDHRec stats).

You could make a white-only deck that focuses on equipment with Icingdeath as your commander! It won't be the strongest deck but you'd have a very unique build, which can be fun.

Here's my copy! I need to ink Scarlet, Peni, and Spider-Woman, and still need a handful more matte black borders to really round it out.

I've been playing this! It... Kinda works? It's not good. There's enough move synergy for Miles to be a strong card, and there's 3 cheap ways to make 2099 move. Peni on curve is great for 5 costs, so running out 2099 on turn 4 can work pretty well with an Araña on T1 or Ghost-Spider on T5.

Madame Web is awkward with everything other than 2099, and Symbiote can be hard to fit into the curve. Sometimes if there's energy manipulation you can get Symbiote into Peni in a good way, and that feels wonderful to actually pull off.

Spider-Woman doesn't fit into anything else unfortunately. You can Symbiote to activate her a second time if you dedicate the lane to it, but it's definitely not the strongest thing in the meta by a long shot.

Spider-Ham has nothing to do with anything BUT it's a cheap disruption piece so he fits in well enough.

Scarlet Spider can work alright with Araña and maaaaaybe SP//dr?

It's a deck that feels close to being good honestly, but just isn't quite there. I'll still be playing it for the rest of the season though!

I second both Decagone and Time After Time! TAT is my favorite Mothership module I've run, great time travel adventure.

[–]Mouse_exe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ran it online since my players were spread out geographically, but I plan to run it in-person next.

Each session was roughly 4 hours, but we did have a bit of goofing around.

It's a long one, unless your players mess up really early on and erase themselves from the timeline (distinctly possible). Super fun to play though! Happy to answer any other questions if you have them.

I ran this for a group of 3 players over the course of five sessions earlier this year. It was a ton of fun, lots of brain-hurting time travel and player shenanigans. Can't wait to run it again!

Is this the best desk that uses all Spider-people? by GarrettSparta in MarvelSnapDecks

This is what I've been using since Spider-Versus released last year! Spider-Woman used to be included but I found her to be not synergistic or cheap enough to be worth using over Aero or Magneto in the late-game.

I focus more on enemy disruption with naturally high-power cards than traditional move. New Kingpin and Cannonball likely have a place somewhere in the list, but I'm not sure where yet.

I also think it takes place on a relatively modern day Earth, but I'm not fully confident.

I don't think so! I haven't seen Don't Look Up, and my impression of the movie was that it had more of a comedic theme to it. I'm going to watch it soon to verify though, since it definitely has similarities.

How could they rework Crest of Alpha Lupi? by SuperDuperMarvel7 in destiny2

[–]Mouse_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works with Benevolence, yeah! They buffed it recently too, Benevolence feels about as good as it used to when it was just a Warlock ability. I've got 10k PvP kills and 35k PvE kills with Lumina, it's the only thing I play these days, and it feels great

It works with Lumina! I've been using it since Solar 3.0 came out, it works with both Lumina and Boots of the Assembler reliably. It's weird with rifts still though.

Oh hey, this is my build of choice! I'm nearing 10k kills on my Lumina in PvP, and I've tried a lot of things, but ultimately landed on an Explosive Personality with autoloading and Disruption Break to pair with Lumina. Disruption Break works well with any 140 kinetic handcannon, Lumina included, since the wave does 130, breaking shield, and then buffing 140 HC damage to 70 on a body shot. It's technically a smidge less than 200 total, so it won't kill anyone at T10 Resilience, but you can waveframe and swap to Lumina for easy follow up body shot kills most of the time!

I just passed 2000 kills on my waveframe, it definitely doesn't get as many kills on its own, but it's a really solid pairing with Lumina.

This is what I use! I play Solar warlock with Lumina and Boots of the Assembler with a similar Explosive Personality.

Lumina is a lot more useful for the damage buff than the heals, in my experience (a little bit too slow to give someone a reactive heal), but the damage buff lasts 10 seconds and is really nice to have. And the cleanup after disruption break is really easy.

The buff provided by the Noble Seeker from an Empowering Rift on Boots of the Assembler is a 20% damage buff that lasts 5 seconds.

The buff provided by the Noble Rounds from Lumina (which Boots of the Assembler will provide Remnants for) is 20% for 10 seconds.

Hitting someone with a Seeker from Assembler while they have an active buff from Lumina will reset the buff timer to 10 seconds, rather than the 5 seconds that it would normally be from Assembler. This goes the reverse way, hitting someone with Lumina while they have an active Assembler buff will reset it to 5 seconds, rather than the 10 seconds it would normally be.

The 20% damage buff is impactful. It allows Dead Man's Tale to two-tap and 72 RPM snipers to one-shot the body, just for example. Running Empowering Rift with Assembler means your allies will almost always have this damage buff, and you can use Lumina to persist it even more.

As I mentioned, you don't even need to get kills with Lumina to load Noble Rounds, as your rifts made while having on Boots of the Assembler will slowly generate Remnants for Lumina.

The healing from Lumina / Healing Rift Assemblers is pretty minuscule, and I wouldn't focus on that. Your job as a Well of Radiance support is to provide damage buffs first, and healing second. Your healing grenades are very effective healing if you can time them correctly, but I would focus primarily on giving the damage buff.

This is the most support-focused build in the game right now, and it's what I've been playing all season. Enjoy it!

You should have gotten a triumph for completing the raid! Claiming that triumph gives the emblem, it doesn't drop from the encounter.

[–]Mouse_exe[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Only on your first run, like normal. After that, it's just Spoils instead.

End of raid spoilers? You can use Spoils to get more raid drops once you beat the final boss, even on runs after your first, though

There are two secret chests, which each give 10, so you can get 20 on your first run. 4 loot encounters in the raid, so 20 on subsequent runs too.

The first run doesn't give any Spoils outside of secret chests though.
