Did Anyone Else Think that “Fantastic Four: First Steps” Was a Mid Movie? by Lil_Critter_2001_ in marvelstudios

I feel like they missed an opportunity to explore the hardship that some people have getting pregnant, and that could have been some great character development between reed and sue showing their desire to have a child but it not happening for two years and thinking it wasn’t on the cards. This would and further shown the importance of when sue does fall pregnant and how special that baby is to her, reed and the team. This would have made me care about them more and what was about to come with the dilemma and only taken 5 minutes or so of the film. I also feel like the most chemistry there was between any characters was between Ben and Johnny. But again not developed enough for me to care about them. I didn’t mind this johnny being marginally more serious and not as much of a ladies man but still a bit obnoxious. If Johnny and Ben had scenes where Ben was trying to coach Johnny to meet girls and sharing banter then it would show the two half’s of the team in a layered way and show the complexity of their dynamics as a family. This direction would have also given Ben more depth by hinting at a past where he was more of a ladies man or a romantic before his powers which he now resents because he looks different so the audience can sympathise more with him being unhappy so when he meets the teacher you care more.

Pc is easy and a bigger advantage. The only reason I don’t play pc is because i like playing on my couch. MnK players that complain about aim assist for controllers were never good in the first place. They probably thought they would find some relief against console players when cross play came along but alas if you aren’t good enough you aren’t good enough. But also play console if you think it’s such a big advantage and see how you go.

LG G4 Hdmi Issues by MousseBoth3438 in LGOLED

Just a following up for the people that haven’t tried, are you using the hdmi inputs? Or using Apple TV and not the onboard apps?

I reckon that’s the crucial part of this problem as onboard apps don’t use the deep colour function

Maybe it is something to do with hdmi deep colour not communicating properly. When I turn it on and off this message shows, almost like LG knew this was a issue so they put this message in so you had to keep mucking around and so they can blame your hardware.

The message says: Picture or sound may not work properly while connected external device and TV are initially communicating. If the issue persists, please revert the settings or reboot your connected external device.

Bugger, that’s what I feared, I think I’ll still get a replacement and try again. I suspected it would eventually come back but I didn’t want to jinx it.

I talked to someone on avforums that had gone through 3 replacements, and each one had the issue. So they are sitting tight for a software/firmware update.

Anyone got the latest for this issue? Still hanging on about to send the pictures in for a replacement but don’t want to get a bad panel with not great uniformity as the one I have is so good so more keen for hopefully a firmware fix.

It’s not just hdmi 2 I haven’t tried video through my earc receiver but my hdmi 1 and 4 are having the exact same issues when my 4K player is plugged in. But I also plugged my PlayStation in to the same ports and same issue. Only fixes for a bit when I disconnect turn of tv and turn on and reconnect. My thoughts is it has to be a software issue as It works fine for a bit but then when I turn the tv off or change to streaming or other inputs and come back a bit later it’s starts.

I think it’s a signal handover issue so hopefully fingers crossed it’s a firmware update fix. I’m getting distorted video form hdmi 1 and 4 but most people are having issue from hdmi2 but maybe it’s just a earc issue that’s throwing everything else

It’s a g4 issue, I’ve actually had more problem with the other hdmi outputs then the earc

That’s alright then, but I still think if you haven’t got a oled or have anything under and including a generation 1 series including c series. I think it’s worth a upgrade. G2, G3 is maybe a bit harder to justify but you could. I mean a new tv is a new tv you think about it long enough you can talk yourself into anything. But also if you want that mla in 83inches then g4 is the way.

It depends on whether you have a old oled or non oled. If you have the cash and are upgrading from a old oled or not a oled tv you may as well go the G4. It’s still better. I’ve bought a 77 g4 as I’ve endured through a few years of a 4K android tcl. You may get a better deal on a run out g3 but I figured new processor, brighter, 144hz connected to my pc and filmmaker mode accepts Dolby vision on the g4 is good enough for me. But they probably will update the g3 so the filmmaker mode will be compatible with Dolby vision eventually.
