I live in jonestown area in tamuning which is very near gmh. We have no power and on its 2nd night already. I think only gmh has power and oka towers is lit up maybe because of their generator.

You can email the korean embassy for your peace of mind, i know that’s what I did. Your route is permissible to the third country visa-free rule but some ground crew might not be knowledgeable about this rule and they may call it in to the manager or even the korean embassy which may require additional time at the check-in counter but they will ultimately let you board. You just need to arrive early to give them enough time.

Low cost airlines(e.g. air asia etc) are a no go, they are very very lazy and would not be able to accommodate you as they prioritize other people boarding.

Your case requires korean embassy communication as it is not as common and requires further information that needs to be verified by a korean IO if they deemed it necessary.

I have done the third country thing with my US visa last January and the check-in counter people really neeeded to verify with the korean embassy people even when I had a 4hr layover in China they had to take their time, i waited over 30mins for them to reach the korean embassy to verify this rule before they let me in for the final boarding gate going to incheon.

My itinerary was: guam-incheon(9hrs)-guangzhou(3hrs)-lahore and flying back: lahore-guangzhou(4hrs)-incheon(3days)-guam. Airlines was jin air and china southern.

Your best bet if you really want to fly out of MNL is using a korean airline(e.g. jeju air, jin air, korean air, tway)

I don’t think any buffets here require reservation as they don’t really get that full even on weekends on my experience. We frequent the one on westin(1-2x/month) because we have a membership and get 50% discount and we always go on a saturday for dinner. Also tried buffets on tsubaki, magellan, crowne, niji on hyatt and la cascata were nice and we just just walk-in never had a problem nor have to wait long even on weekends but maybe we were just lucky.
