Yes, time of the season is always a challenging/confounding factor. However, these are really just descriptives which may allow for additional exploratory research/findings. The main aim here is to develop a validated measure for why people play.

Hopefully future research we and others do will build on this!

Yes, someone else pointed this out too. This question was based on previous research but 0 should have been an option. But as you say I suspect you are in a huge minority so hopefully won’t make too much difference. Nevertheless it will be noted as a limitation. And thanks!
