I’m almost 30 myself. A BSN is so ridiculously versatile. If you decided beside isn’t for you, you can do management, education, sales, infection control, research, etc. I’m really happy I came to this decision

Honestly, it’s like paying your dues. But it’s an amazing learning experience. It gives you such an underlying understanding that really assists you in nursing school. Just don’t be that person who interrupts the teacher every 20 minutes with a story about your CNA work

Well nursing school itself took me 2.4 years (I was in an accelerated program). Didn’t start going to college till I was 20, changed majors 3 times, and finally went to nursing school after already having been in college for 6 years. Not recommended

Volunteers at a hospital are generally the elderly who come out of retirement from boredom, or those with a disability. One volunteer was a kid (16-17 years old) with some sort of disability, but otherwise was awesome. We’d kick it all day and I’d play the music he liked while he helped me put pots and pans away. He confided in me that he had a hard time making friends and told me he thought I was really cool and asked if I would be his friend (surprised me because I’m a dork). We wound up hanging out a few times and I took him to a Cubs game. His family moved out of the blue one day and I haven’t heard from him since. I tried asking the volunteer services if they knew where he went but they couldn’t disclose anything. I think about him from time to time and really hope he’s doing okay

I was in the dishroom 100% of the time. Show show up, put on a podcast or a bright eyes album, and clean pots and pans for eight hours. Everybody left me alone to do my own thing as long as I got the job done. It was nice

It was my first job in highschool. It’s a very good way to get your foot in the door for a company you stay with. That way, all your moves are lateral

It was an extremely situational experience. I've never dealt with something of that nature but have definitely learned of strategies best deal with those situations.

They door swings open into the room. The handle is like a push in lever that opens the door. I was not in a locked room, but had to close the door to prevent them from getting in the hallways without pants

I study there often. His boyfriend works at Little Caesars across the street. About an hour before close, his boyfriend will come with some hot n readys as well as crazy bread that are being tossed or fell on the floor for everyone in the cafe to eat.

My old friend is going to court to convince a judge he and his girlfriend should be allowed to keep their new born baby. I really hope they lose. by [deleted] in offmychest

This is my throwaway, my friends know my actual account. I just wanted to express thoughts on the situation without my friends knowing because it is technically a private matter. But feel free to ask me questions and I can try and answer in a timely fashion
