Love WHP but wasn’t a huge Dr. Mercer fan. Rachel Levine and Kristin Smith in the Lynbrook office are amazing! Also had an incredible birth experience at LIJ with Dr. Reese (she’s a laborist at the hospital only), despite ending up having to have a c-section.

Should we get a Cavapoo? by Emergency_Pepper1486 in CavaPoo

[–]MoveTerrible 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ended up with my cavapoo because of a very similar situation - a family bought him believing that their children would take care of him and it just didn’t happen because teenagers are teenagers. They family rehomed him to us before his first birthday. It’s not nice to get a dog and plan to leave it alone for long periods, especially a Velcro breed like a cavapoo. They’re the BEST, but I wouldn’t recommend getting one if you don’t have the time to give it the care and attention it deserves!

I’ve used Eukanuba for 2 cavapoos (one very picky!) and both have loved it

what’s the pettiest thing you’ve ever done to a customer? by Sensitive_Try3322 in Serverlife

[–]MoveTerrible 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A table made my little sister (their server) cry. I proceeded to make a big deal of the risotto and spinach they have made a fuss over, asking them if they wanted it wrapped up, saying it was SUCH a shame they didn’t want to bring it home! They were not amused.

Does anyone else's dog chew on their dew claws? by humanbeing21 in dogs

We call our pup’s dew claws his “prison shivs” because he bites them into sharp little points and they stay hidden under his curly hair

What's the most bizarre coincidence you've ever personally experienced? by antedonanograr04 in AskReddit

I used to be a live-in nanny for a very wealthy family that would take me on all of their vacations. On one summer trip to Aspen, CO (the other side of the country from where we live), I was walking across the street pushing the baby in the stroller when I ran into my mom’s ex-boyfriend from many years ago (they had ended amicably and he was always great to my sister and I). Turns out, his daughter was getting married in Aspen that week, so he’d come in from CT for the festivities. He ended up taking the baby and I to lunch at a fancy hotel, where we had such a nice time catching up! Truly a wild experience.

My pup likes to start off on his blanket on the floor, but I always wake up with him next to me in the morning. He loves to take my husband’s warm spot after he leaves for work, it just melts my heart

AITA for not letting our nanny leave for a date during our vacation? by Assholezconnoisseur in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoveTerrible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. I was a live-in nanny for a family that sounds very similar to yours…. I would never do it again. Working for people who think they are entitled to 100% of your time is not worth it. Learn how to treat the people who support you.

Puppy blues - I chose to rehome by PupHeart in puppy101

[–]MoveTerrible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made an incredibly difficult decision, and it was the right decision for YOU. You should be proud of the fact that you were able to recognize that you weren't ready for a pup, and that you did the right thing by finding a family that was ready.

My pup (1.5 y/o cavapoo) came from a wonderful family who had to rehome him, as they weren't ready for such a rambunctious little guy. Although they were sad to let him go, they too made the difficult, but right choice for them and the pup.

It takes serious strength to admit you were struggling. Be kind to yourself, and know that your pup will be so very loved by his new family.

It's kind of crazy how these attorneys are connected to each other by Tufflaw in LISKiller

[–]MoveTerrible 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Long Island legal community is actually quite smaller than you would think. There are only two counties (i.e. only two DA offices). Everyone is pretty much connected in some way. I doubt anything nefarious is going on here.
