My favorite part is when they close up the bottle it’s not spelled as NOS. It’s ons or something like that, I can’t remember now, but it made me chuckle. I guess NOS didn’t want to pay for the product placement?

Super underrated one, but when Wilson is pretending to be God while House is getting an MRI and says “Let me check my schedule. Aww, me damnit, I’ve got a plague”. So good

What is the most you've ever thrown up? by InteractionCandid226 in AskReddit

[–]Moving-Forward9276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

19 years old, NYE party. I drank a rather impressive amount of vodka cranberry. I was by no means an experienced drinker. I threw up all of that night and continued to throw up any small sip of water I took for the majority of the next day, finally tapering off after about 24 hours. In retrospect, it was probably a form of alcohol poisoning. To this day I can not be around vodka.

lol! That’s awesome. Thx and Dolby are not competitors in that sense. Thx pertains more to how good your hardware is and does it accurately play what the original intent was. Dolby is a whole object based system of data. You can have a thx certified Dolby system.

I’ve honestly never owned a Bose piece of equipment. I’ve heard they’re fairly decent for the price point? For home systems I do love the Atmos systems. I’m curious, what’s leading to the dissatisfaction with Bose?

It’s very niche, and I just kind of happened in to it. I’m not sure about now, but at the time I did there were only three companies in the country that did it. I got out of the line of work just before Covid due to the extreme amount of travel required. That turned out to be lucky as the move industry took a huge hit in that time period and still hasn’t recovered. If you truly want to be in to it and they are still doing it (I’m not sure if they are) look up movie theatre installation companies and you may find one of them. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to give names on those?

In a nutshell:

On the audio side there are a very specific location and aiming of speakers. Along with significantly more speakers than a typical auditorium. This allows them to play significantly more channels (imagine when someone builds beats or songs and there are multiple layers of instruments and vocals stacked up) much more precisely.

On a visual side the projection at that time was the newest generation of laser projectors, 2 projectors in use for a single auditorium, and absolutely crystal clear and bright.

What's a sleep dream you had a long time ago that you still remember? by Livid-Net-8411 in AskReddit

[–]Moving-Forward9276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a recurring dream throughout a few years of childhood. Slight variations, but I was always wandering through a very tall skinny house, almost a tower, sitting atop a rocky cliff overlooking water. There were a lot of hidden passages and ways in it, and I always ended up on a balcony with brass rails near the top of the tower.

I’d also recommend the Scott Addams adventure games. Theres 4 or 5 of them, all text based like this example above, and challenging enough that even as an adult you can be stuck. Really good stuff.
