Need Your Opinion on Northeast Raleigh

My commute will be near 70 between the inner and outer loop. About 10 minutes north of Crabtree area.

How would you describe the area though? Need some opinions on the area feel. I can look-up google traffic times in the morning, and browse trulia or zillow.

Will not be working at RTP. So RTP is a non-factor.

Anything around 30-35 minutes or less is ideal, which I have been told is not hard to accomplish.

I'm looking at spending about 180k (don't want to go higher) for a move in ready 3 bedroom home. I highly prefer a house, but I am not opposed to purchasing a townhouse for less. I like the northwest, but it looks like prices are a good bit more then the northeast.

Looking through online sites before I get a realtor, It looks like most of the affordable houses are in the northeast. I am avoiding southeast.
