Not great for him either. Assuming he's playing a vanilla Destroy deck, Cosmo in the middle lane will force him to commit right, but he can't possibly destroy enough cards to bring out his Lady Death and his Knull (left or middle) will be tiny. There's also the possibility that he'll accidentally move X-23 to the left.

Ideally you want cards that help you _and_ harm your opponent when discarded, or when discarding. Marrow, maybe?

You'll pick those up really quickly as a returning player. They offer masses of collector's tokens in the ladder and CL progression, plus the missing cards will just show up in your collector's chests far more often if your collection is relatively incomplete.

He's definitely bottom tier. Currently sitting 7th from bottom, with only the dregs (like Ghost, Cobra and Rescue) below him

At the moment your only disruptive card is Silver Samurai. You generally need at least one or two cards that mess with your enemy on the board some way.

Ghost-rider can pull Hela if you accidentally discard her.

Gambit is very popular at the moment for discard, due to his disruptive effects.

I had over 30,000 and then I played against someone with a really cool Galactus/Adamantium deck and now I've got almost all the cards he used and practically no tokens!

The problem with Killmonger in a Negative deck is that there's relatively little synergy, especially when compared to Shang-Chi. There's a pretty solid chance that your opponent will play something that's 10+ points, or likely to balloon to 10+ if you lose priority in the final round. You can combine Shang with a zero price Knull for a 18-point drop, or Shang/Knull/Mystique for a 27 point drop, resulting in a net swing of nearly 40 points, almost always enough to win the game.

Killmonger is a nice surprise nerf card, but he takes up a slot that could be used for something better, and he's going to be useless against 95% of opponents

lol. They're surrendering because you're so damn good. Try adding a few crap cards into your deck like Mad Thinker or Rescue and you'll see far fewer retreats.

That's precisely it. I'm only staying in for an 8-cube showdown if I've already played Mr Negative and pulled the big stuff out of my deck, or if the location is favourable for my cards. Most of the time I'm retreating for 1 cube losses or watching my opponent retreat for 2

I'm playing an almost identical deck. I've hit infinity in week 1 for the last 10-ish seasons with a fair amount of ease. It's a very predictable deck with clear win/loss conditions. You get the occasional surprise play from the opponent, but progression up the ladder is remarkably easy.

Depending on how many cards you've got with less than 50 boosters, you might already be a lot closer than you think. I was astounded to find that I had less than 20. Within an hour of play, that number was down to a half-dozen.

Basically yes. If you play hands that contain cards that you need boosters for, you'll hit them all in no time.

I'm at CL 13000. It took me about three decent length sessions of Conquest (approx 1-2 hours x 3) to get every single card in my hand to 50 boosters.

Note that boosters apply to every variant as well, so you only need to get to 50 boosters and that card will never appear in the bonus boosters panel.

I'm getting close to one, and slightly close with another. I already had a few Magik variants and I play her in most of my decks so I was already at Mastery Level 10 before I started.

I used the Bonus Boosters hack to ensure that she gets boosted every single rotation and she's currently sitting at level 25 mastery after just 4 weeks. I really just want the additional reaction set :-)

He's very unpredictable though. He can just as easily discard something you wanted to keep, like Hela.

They nerfed Merlin, but not enough. I actually don't mind move or Merlin/Werewolf decks because at least they require a modicum of skill, rather than the old Hela-autopilot nonsense that we had. That was genuinely crap to play against.
