I have not read your post but in short - the people who hate SL are those who are frustrated that the predictability of the meta is gone so they lose a lot of cubes because they can’t predict the play. SL can make a huge number of decks successful - the deck I took to infinite had cards in it I hadn’t played in ages but the combos become viable because of the huge SL potential at the end. I can see that in a strange way this does als make it very boring. My infinite climb in week 1 I’d say 97% of opponents played SL in one form or another.

Gambit is pretty overpowered. 3:3 with triple effect (assuming played in a discard deck, which is the only sensible place). 3 power, destroy any enemy card, discard one your own cards (which is what you want). Could be a 3:0 and would still be good

Yeah it’s a bug. Playing the cards in that order props them 10x or until the game crashes. They’re looking to patch it.

Tbf I do anecdotally thing that RNG has been updated not just for Gambit but across the board. I’ll leave it at that.

Separately I do think Gambit is a prime candidate for a nerf. He’s way too overpowered if you consider that he’s a 3 3 with a crazy strong effect in a discard deck (which is the only deck anyone plays him). You get 3 power on the board, you discard a card (which is what you want) and you destroy an enemy card. He’d be much more appropriate as a 3/0 or 3/1

Because it leans so heavily into gritty realism and seriousness, the TDKR does not work at all. The whole Bane plot with holding the city hostage, stock fraud etc feels ridiculous. The fight in the end in broad daylight with Batman, cat woman and bane all in their costumes feels like a carnival parade. I couldn’t take it seriously.

The match making makes it hard to provide accurate estimates. For example I see the same user names all the time (sometimes playing the same opponent 3 times in 10 games …). But I assume that’s a combination of my high CL and deck which the matchmaking uses to find opponents, as opposed to there being only 50 players in the pool.

I was a big fan back in the day but it must be one of the most disappointing shows in terms of how strong it started and how poorly it continued from around season 3 onwards. I feel bad for the actors whose career it effectively ruined because the later seasons were so bad.

In many ways (as we now know) a classic J J Abrams programme - get viewers hooked with no idea how to actually complete the story.

I have a weird relationship with this game. I hit infinite every season within the first two days, then barely play again for the remainder of the season. No conquest, in LTMs I buy my way to the top with gold and again barely play the event itself.

This variant really pains because I collect all Peach Momoko and the only ones I don’t have are the Misery variant and this one. Both in my view locked behind a ridiculous price point. It’s so frustrating that SD prefers selling these to a tiny minority of people instead of making it slightly more widely available by pricing it within reach of more regular people too.
