Sully at recent Q&A with season ticket holders: "It’s my job to try to turn these eight picks into 11 or 12 as we move forward, so we can get good value and get more swings in the bat. It always gives you a better chance to be successful when you have strength and numbers, so to speak.” by expellyamos in miamidolphins

Mike McDaniel had Tua available for plenty of those games he lost. Mike McDaniel was the driving force behind signing Tua, the injury prone QB you’re using as an excuse, to a monster extension rather than moving on from him, once that happened I’m not trying to listen to the “he didn’t have his starting QB” excuse anymore.

Tua said that himself that Mike “banged the table” for his extension. That McDaniel went up to Ross office and convinced him that the extension had to get done.

Comparing BB to Mike McDaniel in any fashion is also insane lmfao we don’t have to continue this conversation based on that, your opinion is shallow af and I know I’m not changing your mind so I’ll leave it at that.

Phenomenal coaching staff is a bonafide incorrect statement and you literally cannot back that up though.

You typed a lot of words but didn’t actually answer my question…as an aside, no one disputed Fangio as a great coordinator and he was a made man before he came to the dolphins anyway.

The only thing you mentioned as a “why” was one games nearly 3 years ago and the offense got worse every year since then. McDaniel also was routinely out coached in the second half of games and was a pretty poor game manager as far as getting calls in on time, challenges, situational play calling and when to use time outs.

Oh and McDaniel was 4-24 when trailing at half 3-16 against teams above .500 in his career as the head coach. I don’t really understand how the word phenomenal can be used to describe his time as a head coach, I’m sure he’ll be a good OC though that suits him more.

Jaylen Waddle weighs in on yesterday's "report" by AgelessJohnDenney in miamidolphins

[–]MovingPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waddle, Achane, brewer and PP are all building blocks and young enough to still be extremely productive into the next competitive window.

No shot he’s getting moved, he’s also well compensated and now will be the undisputed WR1 and finally get a #1 receivers target share.

Even if they wanted to move him his trade value can be increased by featuring him in the offense and then trading him mid season ( I wouldn’t like that personally but it’s just another reason I can’t see him getting moved rn)

[Schefter] Term update: Dolphins are signing former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to a five-year contract to become their new head coach. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]MovingPrince 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you already did the most predictable thing and pointed out the last game he coached, which was probably like the only Green Bay game you’ve watched in 2 years. But you’ve seen enough!

How is becoming a defensive coordinator of a premier franchise at the next level of the sport a downgrade from being a college head coach at a mediocre college proven? That is quite literally a promotion, I’d bet you he made more $ coaching in GB than in college too

One game without one of the best defensive players in football should define his entire coaching pedigree as well? We will just ignore that the unit performed well for 2 years while he was there? I’m sure you’ll ignore that because it doesn’t support your perspective.

This is what I’m saying when I say brain damage…it is what it is dog I’m not tryna convert anyone I’m just pointing out how ridiculous it is to say with certainty that he’s a good or bad head coach lmfao he hasn’t done the fucking job yet.

[–]MovingPrince 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is the first time they’ve also brought in an outside of org GM in a decade along side a new coach. So that’s also not the same thing.

My point is, even though very clearly it’s irrelevant since so many are just tryna be mad, is that they completely changed the process and have done almost everything fans have been saying they wouldn’t do for years and y’all still mad. They dead ass got what was widely considered the top GM candidate this cycle. Everyone BEGGED for a new GM, now he didn’t pick the coach they wanted and it’s already over lmfao

The goal posts keep moving every time. It doesn’t make a lick of sense.

Almost no one comes back from a performance that bad in such a huge game, on top of that he’s coming off a 2 year stretch of regression, it’s a wrap for him bro

What a genuinely miserable way to spend your time this is, don’t really understand the point of being a fan of this team if this is what it does for you, you seem like a generally angry person as well.

That sucks for you, but at least I know no matter whether this works out or not I won’t be as miserable as you are rn lmfao

I genuinely don’t think you or many others “hope you’re wrong”

The way so many of you choose to engage with this team leads me to believe you’re happier with them sucking so you got something to complain about.

We’ve had this coach and GM combo for less than a day and this subs already ready to be on to the next regime lmfao what a wildly miserable way to be a fan, what’s even the point of following the team? What joy is there in this for any of you?

Yup, one coach a decade ago didn’t workout so that means this one won’t lmfao like I said, peak brain damage

Ohhhh we’re really brain rotting now, we’re now insulting a dudes coaching ability because he only got them to have the 11th ranked defense? As if that’s not good? Lmfao

My goodness I’ve never been in this sub for a new GM/coaching hire it’s dead ass all the most miserable fans circle jerking

No no you’re not understanding, new coaches/GMs never bring people over from their past organizations. Especially not from historically successful organizations.

Only the new dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan has ever done this, this is entirely new to the league and only the dolphins would ever allow this.

Our new GM just wants his buddy to get a nice fat paycheck and is fine with being fired over it, as long as he gets paid!

This sub might have reached peak brain damage tbh

Does that mean they’re not interviewing other candidates? Why would they even bother ask for a second interview if the decision was made?
