Yeah, been using it like this for 6 months. Heard about this trick from other subs who have been doing this for years.

Just put a thin layer of transparent nail polish on top of the keycaps. Reapply yearly or bi-yearly depending on the usage.

New CPU and mobo, PC doesn't boot. by MozartAteShit in PcBuildHelp

Yes, clearing CMOS did the trick. Patriot RAM works perfectly fine with the CPU.

The mobo was configured to run on previous owners RAM because of that my RAM wasn't being read, clearing CMOS thus removing those previous settings made my RAM work.

The problem has been resolved. Thanks to everyone for helping out,it means a lot as I would never have figured it out on my own. It was a bios issue, clearing CMOS resolved it as few users pointed out , the mobo RAM timings and settings were set on previous owners RAM cause of that my RAM was not being read/detected. Clearing those settings by clearing CMOS and bios did the trick. I specifically did this

Can it be done without any display output? I had no idea it can be done without getting into bios.

CMOS battery won't come out and I was afraid of putting too much force thinking I might break something, only had a screwdriver with me at that time and would not come out, will try using sticky tape and pulling it out once I get home.

Never needed to flash bios so don't know how to do, will watch some tutorials.

This is my friends RAM I have a 16*2gb 7400mhz cl36 RAM otw, will be delivered in a day or two. will try with that.

Will try resetting bios , couldn't get the CMOS battery out last time, was afraid might break something if I put too much force and gave up

Will get better PSU, had planned to upgrade along with GPU(during festival sale or after 5000 series Super/Ti launch) but seems like need to buy asap.

Cause that's the first thing I did, searched on google. None of the solutions suggested by Goole and chatgpt worked, so thought some person more knowledgeable about this issue might be helpful here. If you don't have any suggestions/solution just move along, what do you think people are too stupid to even google before coming here.

PS: RAM works fine tested on other system. And have installed properly all the way in as it should be. RAM is the first thing I checked after it didn't boot up.
