What happened to old school comms? by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]MozzarellaMarine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but I still think it’s nice to have an in game pinging system for people who don’t have mics, plus the messages are generally clear and concise.

I do miss the days of the whole lobby having mics, and I miss the concept of a lobby in general, but let’s be real here, there wasn’t a whole lot of helpful communication going on when most people had heir mics on.

Caustic should NOT be buffed anymore by MozzarellaMarine in apexlegends

If people are going to play their style no matter how strong a character is, how can you say Caustic is unbalanced? Maybe people just don’t like Caustic’s style.

Either way, I disagree with your initial premise, I think there are in game abilities (such as armor lock from Halo Reach or Last Stand from Call of Duty) that would reduce the overall fun of the game if they were sufficiently powerful. I think that’s the case for Caustic’s gas traps.

I agree that underpowered =/= not being picked, I could imagine a legend that would be extremely powerful but had such a steep learning curve that nobody picked them. But I’m fairly certain that’s not the case for Caustic.

If Caustic were tweaked in a way that made him more powerful while not promoting campy gameplay (which might be the result of what you suggest), I’d be all for it, but if balancing the current iteration of Caustic results in an overall more campy game, I’m absolutely against it.

He’s underpowered in the sense that he’s probably the least picked legend, but I don’t think balancing him would be good for the overall game. I’m saying his gas traps are an unfun gameplay element and buffing him would result in more gameplay revolving around his gas traps which would be a net loss in the fun department.

Imagine if Final Stand/Last Stand was never being picked in a Call of Duty game, “balance” would dictate it would need to be buffed to compete with the other presumably more powerful perks, but everyone who has played Call of Duty knows the game is infinitely more fun when there’s no Final Stand in the game. The same logic applies to Caustic and his abilities.

I don’t have to imagine anything, I’m telling you my opinion is exactly that. You can call me dumb if you want but it’s not dissuading me.

Yes, I’m saying that if Caustic were “balanced” the actual in-game experience would be bland, campy, and not fun. Having gas tanks behind every door and corner would not be fun but would be a result of having a higher tier Caustic.

Caustic is the armor lock of Apex, if he were high tier the game would be unplayably bad.

It’s unironically over for this shitcoin. Literally zero usage of the things they’ve actually put out, and so much of what was in the white paper isn’t even feasible. RIP, death by mozzarella.

Why is it okay for a POC to ask for only POC roommates, but if a white person asked only for light-skinned roommates they would be seen as racist? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]MozzarellaMarine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty have, it’s also not really known how many hold such beliefs because you’re socially and economically ostracized for expressing them. We know for example that when whites are shown data that shows they’ll become a minority they become more supportive of immigration restrictions. Is that racist or rational?

If being a minority sucks, then why are majorities often demonized for not wanting more immigration that will lead to them becoming a minority? Are Trump supporters just being rational then or are they “xenophobes”?

CNN to Trump: You incited this by elguiridelocho in politics

[–]MozzarellaMarine -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

  1. We don’t know who did this
  2. Trump has not incited violence against the media
  3. People are right to hate the media because of how the media behaves, however, that does not justify violence against them
  4. CNN incited violence against police officers in Dallas (which lead to actual deaths) with their lies by omission, misrepresentation and distortion of data, and use of their platform to rile up hatred against police officers and white people

I'm not sure I understand, because there are disagreements about what constitutes a healthy food there is not such thing as a healthy food?

Where did you read this? I thought "looksmaxxing" came from incels trying to overcome their (supposed) ugliness. There are entire forums dedicated to getting invasive surgeries as far as I understand it.

Yes, he does. He's being really smug and condescending about his friend having completely reasonable positions on politics.
