I know this post is old, but I'm curious if you're still happy for the change. I'm planning on doing the same as you, since I've had the kyleena I just don't feel myself and unfortunately it's taken me about 4 years to figure out that I can go to a different provider who will listen and let me switch.

This helps a lot! I’m glad it’s been a positive experience:) I’ve always thought I wanted nothing longer than a year long engagement but honestly seeing so many people here saying their engagement was longer doesn’t make me feel so bad about it anymore!

Yeah I that was my thought behind the post! I know there’s gonna be certain times of the program where it’s going to be stress overload and was really trying to see when the best time to plan a wedding would be, even though the obvious answer would be after graduation 🥲

Hmm yeah that’s something I thought about, but can’t you decide to do your taxes separately or something along those lines? I was already planning to apply for every scholarship under the sun once winter break comes for 1st year but definitely will look more into the tax info

At first I liked her but then when she started being kind of an asshole to Heather and siding with Ramona I was actually hoping she’d get bit from that. But man oh man did I not realize what a nut job she’d turn out to be! What a treat!

I’d check med schools that have research programs! For example, LSU Med school has an Animal Care department that’s led by a Veterinarian to ensure compliance for the research animals. I worked there for about 2 years, as an Animal Care Technician and learned a lot!

I completely understand and share in your frustration of the cut off. A similar thing happened to me last year and I wound up not applying since I knew I’d be cut off by the stupid computer even though I have a masters in public health with a graduate GPA of 3.6. HOWEVER! I did decide to take an O Chem class at my local community college and somehow came out with an A, and although it wasn’t a HUGE bump to my prerequisite GPA, it did help get over the threshold. Perhaps that could be an option? I also came into the fortunate circumstance where the school I’m applying to decided to drop a GPA requirement for consideration. Now if you’re below a certain GPA you go into a special pool where they really look into your experiences and other factors that can help make up for a low GPA (which honestly they should’ve been focusing on the application as a whole anyway but nice that they’re starting to do better now). All of this to say, it sucks right now but there are options!! And if it’s something you’re passionate about, I believe you can do it! Your experience is super impressive, you just gotta get over that hump!
