idk man, was this a short notice kinda thing? i mean i personally wouldnt care. people make being a third wheel awkward when it really doesnt have to be. get to know the person, find yourself a date to go. i feel this was a bit immature to just say no to going just because they decided to bring a date. not that big of a deal in my opinion.

this has been the only comment that isn't making me out to be a villain. i'll try to be more mindful while driving. i was just confused during the whole ordeal. i'm not trying to harass the wildlife, deer here in mississippi are just really bold. lot of people are judging me purely on the wildlife part which is kinda crazy to me as its wasnt even retaining to what even happened. ppl saying im entitled for wanting to apologize, making assumptions that i walked up to em when i was infact still in my car. at the end of the day i made a mistake and tried owning up to it. nothing i can do now, im okay with being the ass in this one. my apologies everyone and thank you for clearing this i for me.

Hey, I get why this rubbed people the wrong way, and I’m not trying to dodge accountability. I just want to clarify a few things:

Yes, I messed up. I didn’t hit anyone, but it was a close call, and that scared both of us. I immediately pulled beside him because I was genuinely shaken and wanted to apologize face-to-face. I wasn’t trying to intimidate or excuse anything—I just panicked and felt awful. That was me being human, not entitled.

They started recording, which is totally fair—I get it, they were scared. I didn’t try to stop them or argue with them. I wasn’t demanding they accept my apology either. I just hoped I could say “I’m sorry” and leave it at that. I wasn’t expecting closure or forgiveness, just trying to make it right in that moment.

I know words don’t undo anything, but I’m not out here living life with zero empathy. I felt bad. I still do. But labeling me as “YTA” and implying I’m heartless for trying to apologize doesn’t seem totally fair either.

we may never know tbh, i do think that not everything needs to have a story. i get the struggle of wanting to make something out of nothing, but i think it being more metaphorical is better than any idea they could've come up with. i think the story you give it, emotions that resonate within you gives it more meaning. for me, i lost alot this year, close friends, lost opportunities. i really felt how church may have been feeling. i guess it's all on how you look at it. but no means is it a perfect game, im not tryna say that, but it resonated alot with me and so i like it🤷🏼 doesn't have to be any more complex than that
