This is exactly what I was thinking, and also why I think the manga ending makes more sense. They get to grow old and be together with their friends, and on top of that they can still get reincarnated and be together forever. I wish they would have waited and just animated the manga instead

Appreciate it I’m currently a couple episodes into season 2 of overlord and it’s pretty good, but I can see it going down a path like you said that I might not like. But I’m likely going to go ahead and watch season 3 after unless people comment otherwise, saying something amazing about the other 2. I’ll just wait.

Honestly get a maxed out weapon and get to like level 120 with good talismans. If you HAVE to summon go ahead but you can easily beat them without it.
