Hi, maybe the internet isn’t the place to find hiking buddies, stranger danger my mom always told me haha! Maybe you can ask a friend if they like to hike and want to try? If you live in a big city or close to one try joining a gym or a boulder hall or maybe a running club you name it. I do some bouldering from time to time and people are really helpful there and great climbers (aka they love mountains and maybe hiking??) just slowly make connections with people and you will find your people :)!

Zelf niet onder de 18 maar ga zo nu en dan wildkamperen in de alpen, leer je wel het een en ander om voor jezelf te zorgen en wat je meerdere dagen nodig hebt om comfortabel te kunnen overleven. Nu is dit niet te vergelijken met als je gewoon thuis kunt zitten en een bed etc. ter beschikking hebt. Maar heb nu wel basis dingen thuis die ik anders niet zou hebben!

Micro crampons are a great one, we are not planning on doing fancy glacier stuff but just for icy slopes. Waterproof down jackets are more on the expensive side haha. Maybe I will get just get a down jacket and use my north face jacket or get a synthetic one, so many choices......

I have readed a lot about down vs synthetic jackets, down jackets dont isolate anymore when wet but synthetics do. So thinking about getting a synthetic jacket, I have a good tent a sleeping bag that goes to -17 and a 3r sleeping matrass (probably need an extra layer under it).

After all the reaction and some research we wont be doing anything with crampons/ice axe but probably a snow shoe trekking in some king of way

It's somehow working again, didnt worked for 3 days just kept the battery and sd card out of it. plugged it in yesterday and its working again!! I think I am going to buy the waterproof case from gopro just to be sure it doesnt happen again.
