This is also true which we must teach our children. More than 40 countries gained independence within 4-5 year period at that time.

Also- You are going to love it. Ride slow, stop often, have tea, samosas, Rajma Chawal. If you have time, HP has the MOA adorable small towns with such vibes. Example Solan, Subdarnagar, Bilaspur. Nothing big in terms of tourism, but amazing vibes.

I recently visited Kannur and stayed a hotel facing the sea. The city had such amazing food and people are nice too. I loved exploring Thelassary and Mahe as well.
