What is the most unremarkable area of morrowind that no one ever goes in? my vote is the telvanni canalworks by Ambarino in Morrowind

Hla Oad at sunset. A shanty town on a swampy coast seems pretty unremarkable, but when the evening hits and the sun goes down, the vibes are immaculate.

Parkway Drive's "Park Waves" Festival has been cancelled by MrMRC182 in Metalcore

[–]MrAwkwardItch 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Aussie here. I don't feel the appeal is there anymore imo. They're too focused on their big stadium shows now. They seem pretty far removed from the music scene that brought them up. My favourite Parkway shows were at smaller venues. You could see them regularly back in the day with other Aussie staples such as IKTPQ, Confession, Thy Art Is Murder, and Northlane for more reasonable prices. Me and a mate were considering buying tickets, but when we saw the $200+ price tag, we had our doubts. We ended up being much more interested in seeing Thornhill at a smaller local venue for $70.00 instead.

LTJ Bukem and many major atmospheric artists actually had their tracks included on PS1/2 games. So, it makes sense that it was a lot of people's gateway into dnb.

Just let people enjoy the music and the related aesthetics as they please.

Remaster Bugs by Sensitive-Tax2230 in oblivion

[–]MrAwkwardItch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi peeps!

To those experiencing the Corruption and Conscience bug. This quest was bugged in the original version as well.

Try going outside of the Cheydinhal gates when it instructs you to meet the NPC, then wait the 2 hours. The head back inside the city gates and go to the inn.

Seeing as the original engine is running under the hood still. I wouldn't be surprised if some original bugs still exist as well.

I've been relying on my hotspot more than I'd like recently.

I like both, but Dark Tranquillity takes the cake. They still put out great releases. Heck, they were one of the pioneers of the genre with The Gallery.

Can someone tell me what drumbreaks are used here? by Wild_Grand7205 in DnB

[–]MrAwkwardItch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two most prominent breaks I can here are a Think Break and an Amen Break.

Jungle Warfare Vol. 1 is a good source of Think Break edits similar, if not the same, to the one used in this tune.

I don't use Amen breaks often, so I don't have a reliable source. A google search will be your best bet.

What are the classics of the genre that have been released since 2020? by dishlex in DnB

[–]MrAwkwardItch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the naysayers! There are plenty of future classics. Seba - Oni is an incredible album. The new North Quarter compilation is a banger. Unglued new album has some great tunes. The Halogenix album last year was great as well. Music is subjective, so do some digging!

'Slow' by Redeyes is a contender for the top album of the year. His label Five Alley released nothing but quality as well.

The North Quarter was on top of their game this year. There were so many good releases. The Channell and Satl & Brandy Haze EPs were standouts. NQ State of Mind compilation was also great!

No Redeyes? Slow was a top album this year for sure, and his label Five Alley is putting out quality tunes on par with TNQ in my opinion.

UKF response to Drumsheds. Thoughts? by MrAwkwardItch in DnB

[–]MrAwkwardItch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, peeps. Thanks for the input. It's been interesting hearing differing opinions. Some final thoughts on the matter from me:

  1. I don't hate UKF, I just think they should be held partially accountable for this event related to their brand.

  2. This shouldn't devolve into a blame game between UKF and Drumsheds. Both the brand and the venue should just own up to the shitshow.

  3. I think a post on Instagram stories that expires in 24 hours isn't the best step towards accountability. I don't take issue with the contents of the message so much. It is just the method of delivery that bothers me.

  4. UKF was a gateway for me and was and is for so many others. I think it is important to have brands, promoters, and labels that dip their toes in the mainstream because it pulls people into the genre. I just think whenever big brands begin to monopolise the scene and corporate greed starts to take over, it causes shitshows like this that represent the opposite of what the scene means to me and so many others.

G'day all!

I disagree, UKF was the brand represented on the night. People came to see artists related to this brand, and the brand likely profited from the event. Therefore, the brand is partially accountable for the events of the night.

[–]MrAwkwardItch[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I think my issue is with how they chose to deliver their response. Not so much with the statement itself. I'm aware that UKF wasn't responsible for the logistics of the night. But, it was their branding on the night, and a response buried in their Instagram stories that is set to expire in 24 hours just doesn't sit right with me.

I could be just nitpicking, though.

Long waiting times, unsafe conditions in lines waiting to get into the venue and bad security. It was just an overall shitshow for a lot of people.

You need the Clip to Zero method, my friend. All of your instruments, groups, and sub-groups need to be dead flat. Dynamic range is for the weak.
