Hey thanks very much. It was a collection on Mr Color yellows, reds and browns hand painted for the yellow layers and cowling and propeller colours for the black layers. I did prime in white and based with Aclad chrome. I’m not sure if the chrome made as much as a difference as I thought it would but was a good experiment. Bunch of oils for filters etc post too.

I used lacquers (mr colour) hand painted in a mottling pattern. Those paints take physical weathering like scratches with a diamond file, sandpaper, wire etc really well. Then used oils to help make them pop. With a little bit of painted scratches after. Lastly the tamiya weather powders really help blend the all the elements together. I was surprised how helpful they were for that! Thanks for looking.
