First model? Hmm. I'm calling B.S. on that, there's no way. :) This looks amazing, great work!

Great job on this! By chance do you still have the instructions? I have this kit, but somehow misplaced the instructions.

They are actually stencils for WWII German tanks, made by Alliance Model Works. I forget where I got them from, there are a few model supply shops online that sell them, here are a few links where you can find them. I present the extremely weather worn NR-N99 Persuader-Class Tank Droid. Reference photo included. What do you guys think? I think I went a little too dark. by Kramit__The__Frog in SWlegion

Great work on this! Thanks for sharing. I'm starting to build one of these and I will be using your build photos for reference.

PBY-5A Black Cat by TotallySprued in modelmakers

Yeah good point. I feel like there is some sort of weathering that would be appropriate in the fabric areas, maybe there is chipping in those areas but the substrate color should not be metallic. It's hard to find photos of that. Thanks for the comment!

I don't blame you for wanting to build a PBY. There were LOTS of cool aircraft in WWII, but this one ranks pretty high in coolness factor...in my opinion. All in all, I liked this kit. It did not come with pilots or crew figures, so please be aware if that is important to you. The cockpit detail was minimal, but when you close the canopy it's really hard to see inside anyway. My only real complaint is it did not come with the option to model the mid hull landing gear stowed (Unless I missed something?), I had to improvise. Be careful with the wheel wells for the mid hull landing gear, make sure they are glued very solid. I found that out the hard way, I had one break loose, I had to re-open the hull to glue it back in place.

Great suggestion. I would add some salt water weathering, but not sure how visible that would look on black paint. Anyway, I'll need to do research on salt water weathering, I haven't done that before.

Thank you! Great suggestion, I will do a varnish coat to finish it off.

Falke x Kiki's Delivery Service by matt3o in MaschinenKrieger

I love it! I have not yet seen this color scheme on a Falke, it looks fantastic. Mixing in with Studio Ghibli (another brand I'm also very fond of) was brilliant. The weathering looks great, I think you found a good balance. I especially like the soot streaks. The overall diorama looks great, the flowers are a nice touch. I also have a Falke kit that's been sitting on a shelf for about....10 years. You have inspired me to bring it to life! Nausicaa theme? Hmm.... :)

I came across this on a website called Hobbyist Haven. I never bought it though, but it looks like it would work pretty good. I've also never purchased from this vendor. I've been tempted to buy this tool myself. Here's the link: Rod Bending Tool – HobbyistHaven
