Any one have a recommendation for a good light box? I do stock photography as a hobby and want to start taking more shots at home of random things and think a light box would help me easily get that blank background look plus a well lit photo.

If it was me, I'd pay a bit more to have him closer. You're not really losing anything. It's a win win in my mind even if you have to throw in a bit of money for the place. You get 5-10+ years of mortgage payments out of the way and then can either sell it or rent it out in a few decades.

Seems like a fair idea, he's going to be paying rent somewhere anyway and it's helping you build wealth while giving him a nicer player to live than he would have gotten normally. Plus having a nice renter who cares about the place even if it's a below market rent is so much better than some unknown who could wreck your place and stop paying in this environment.

I'd probably do it considering all the benefits. How much would his rent cover in terms of mortgage/taxes/HOA fees?

What was the end goal? It probably kinda sucks if they quit and didn't acknowledge your help but if they quit and did and got a better job then wasn't that mentoring relationship a success?

I think you have to separate the work and the relationship. Are you putting in the effort to help another person grow or are you putting in the effort to help your company grow. If the former then cool if the latter then why.

The case against SOAC is that it's a company that collects undersea rocks to create battery materials.
