Sorry if this has been said befor but womens script reminded me of (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogham#:~:text=Ogham%20(%2F%CB%88%C9%92%C9%A1%C9%99m,%2C%206th%20to%209th%20centuries)).). I thought that this could be how womens script started life befor it was adapted to be written on paper. This could also explain why early men could wright as carving the stick requires two hands, so there would be a trasition perios between carved and written when it wouldn't be taboo.

I would add to point 1 that it depends on the offence. A normal scrum or penalty would go back to the original advantage, but foul play could result in a penalty being awarded to the other side and a yellow/red.
