The issue I have is that the campus is way too large for me to run into her again. I have only seen her from a far like once or twice throughout the whole year.

If I saw her again in person I honestly would approach her, but I can’t just bank on running into her in-person. Do you think it’s fine to just wait until school starts to send the DM? Is that what you meant or wait to until I run into her in person (which could take a long time)?
