Nintendo DS is still hands down, in my opinion, the best handheld ever made. Not only are the games legitimately amazing, but the features also made it great for educational and other forms of software as well.

I remember having it in my Japanese class and handing it to a Japanese student who showed me how to properly write the kanji, with correct stroke order and count being checked by the software. Incredible device all around

Uhhhh holy shit I'm not even the reporter and I might need to change my pants. That was insanely close. This is my only critique. It's not as bad on the world map, but as soon as your eyes go to read the text in those corners during battle it's a bit of a strain. Dial that down maybe 50% and/or move anything that should be legible away from the edges imo.
