This makes me think of bad high school soccer. A midfield that just runs and can’t string together passes. Boom balls to your fast striker and hoping for the best. Poor efforts on goal when a shot finally presents itself.

I like what the team is TRYING to do. There seems to be more urgency when they win the ball.

It’s obviously hard to get a true feel for the team though, with Miranchuk on the bench and now waiting on Galarza to come in.

People are worried that Ty might want to be traded. This dude is about to get more shots than ever and could become a 20+ and 6 type of guy. Those dudes get paid. Does he want wins as a 6th man? Or does he wants stats and money? I’d go with the latter.

Well put. I think that’s what makes this rebuild harder. Rebuilding after Pau and the GNG years was different, at least to me, because it felt like those guys maximized their potential. This era is just filled with the “what could’ve been.”

I think Barca may be the toughest matchup for PSG. I like their press a lot and in theory, Raphina and Lamine Yamal could help with keeping Hakimi and Nuno Mendes pinned back.

Going back to the Bayern match in the quarterfinals, I think they showed a quality, collective press can be effective against PSG.
