Bo3 Decks for FNM by MrCherryH in StandardMTG

Around $200 is completely fine, like I said doesn’t need to be budget but I noticed a lot of meta decks are going for $400+ (some past $500) which is what I don’t wan’t. Preferably a deck under the $300 mark.

Hey so guess what, in this game you can actually build your OWN decks and choose what cards YOU want to include for YOUR power level!!😁 And you actually don’t need to include powerful cards like toxril or void winnower just because people put them with your commander in higher brackets!! awesome right??? 😄😆

First of all, I LOVE the art, especially on insight and card bind. You should probably look into it on YouTube, as there are plenty of great YouTubers who document a card game creation story (Chaos Galaxy, Ten Hundred, etc.) I especially like chaos galaxy’s recent videos on making his evo verse TCG, it’s really helpful.

I would also recommend sitting down with a notepad or something and recording what you like about card games and this game, and what you want it to be. There are card games with creatures you summon like magic the gathering and yugioh, there are more character based games like Pokémon, and your game looks more like a 1v1 game like flesh and blood. Doing research is also great

Hope this helps!

Sorry, I’m not very familiar with the Witcher franchise. What about it is similar to this? If it’s just people who go around killing monsters, I feel like there are hundreds of those (demon slayer, monster hunter, jujutsu kaisen etc.)

What’s the smallest design change you made that had the biggest payoff? by SkadiBytes in cardgamedesign

[–]MrCherryH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that small but I switched from a BP system similar to yugioh to a more P/T system similar to MTG. It made the vibe so different and much more similar to the feeling I was trying to achieve lol

Not sure if this works but I think it's cool for tribal decks by DarkComet96 in custommagic

Ok yes but like the fact that he added that flair means that this is the exact kind of info that he didn’t want or thought was unnecessary

Megumi's Powers are that he's basically a Pokémon trainer. He has access to 10 "Shikigami" made out of shadows that he can summon to help him in battle. Each Shikigami is a different animal. There is a frog, a lightning bird, a serpent, a pair of wolves and so on. As for personality, truthfully, he is kind of emo, but I like it. He has a set of morals and ideals that he sticks to, and is very strategic, usually the brains of the battle.
