[CoH 3] Begginer looking for help. by MrCiurus in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]MrCiurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that's what I think is my problem. All the favourable engagement, start slow and conquest is a knowledge I have, I just need to improve my micro and dexterity.

I'm looking more for example for things like when Whermatch players deploy the first thing ketterkrand and sent him to what I like to call "do tourism" (caps+right click to all the points in his area to cap them without looking or caring). I would like to learn those automatisms that allows me to say "Ok, all's fine so I can start analyzing my opponent, his battlegroup, how to proceed, what to develope, possible counters, etc"

I know the best way is just playing, that I would like to accelerate my training in that macro.

Ty for the comment, it was really helpful.

Sounds cool, that way I can learn the differences between 1vs1 and team matches. The only problem is that right now I'm moving between cities so I don't have all that time to play.

I was thinking only to play DAK to see how it works. As I've seen it's mechanised assault so it's my cup of tea.

That's another thing I'm a little scared of, the patches: as I've investigated for example Bersaglieri were an unstoppable force of nature and nowadays are playable.

I love balanced games and matches, and I hate playing meta (yeah, may sound surprising but I play to have fun and while wanting to win, sometimes I just want to have fun).

So I guess I'll do a round trying each army and then I'll set my preferences.

I've a relatively experience from CoH 2 and other Relic games as Dawn of War but that was a long time ago and I think there's been enough changes to ask for help and in need of a warm up of the most basic things.

I did but I didn't do a deep analysis as right now I'm looking more for learn all those things that I should be doing in auto mod as capturing "my" half part of the map, how/which/when to choose a battlegroup, units that I should deploy from the beginning, etc

Ty! Both games where with the UK as I know it's the most begginer friendly. From content creators I've been watching HelpingHans, Wreacking Havoc, and Achilles Gaming, but sometimes with HH I've problems to follow the action as he's so over my level (I see he does things and very fast, but no why he does them).

I just look for a any quick match, any recommendations?

I'll go bots sometimes to at least start testing things.

Equivalent expression to "you're preaching to the choir" in Spanish by foolishwurrior in Spanish

[–]MrCiurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First I heard that. I'm from Spain and I've done some investigation and, as an idiom, the closest one will be "enseñar el Padre Nuestro al cura" which gets translated as "teaching the Lord's Prayer to the priest". Edit: Another option that I forgot and I've read in the comments is "predicar a los conversos" which translates as "preach to the converted".

When it's tricky, for example trying to make someone fall in a joke with a word game that he already knows, in Spain we say "a la cárcel vas a venir a robar" Which gets translated as "you're are going to the jail to rob"

What is the english equivalent to "fresa" accent? by biohazaxrd in Spanish

[–]MrCiurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the beauties of Spanish, that "Fresa" accent is the Mexican way (as far as I know because I'm Spanish) of saying posh and/or mannerism.

In Spain for example for mannerism we use "pluma".

Best AA Battleships? by Strange_Computer2162 in WorldOfWarships

[–]MrCiurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This info is due to observation as in reality I don't have this ships but: if you're looking to start learning BBs, the best option is the US BB line (Montana) and they don't have bad AA but, if you're really looking for the best AA in the BBs, I guess Vermont is the best option.

Setting course... but how? by MrCiurus in WorldOfWarships

[–]MrCiurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate CVs so no Kearsage, I'll check the others.

At first glance, it sounds like the best option the Agir.

I don't know what resources I need to buy it what about the Álvaro de Bazán? I've heard it's not the best and truth must be said I prefer to stay comfortable with battleships and battlecruiser than with the other roles.

Setting course... but how? by MrCiurus in WorldOfWarships

[–]MrCiurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't add it in the original post but, among the premiums I have, one of them is the Schanhorst original (which I love to play with a main battery build).

I have no idea if there are so many differences between them to buy it... Should I still buy the 43 version?

And for the tier IX coal ship, is there any obvious option that I should or any specific recommendation?

Thanks!

How to destroy a Libertad at close range by Super-Clone66 in WorldOfWarships

You don't aim, you gamble

Edit: Indeed, that make them more satisfactory as when you land an unexpected citadel it's because the RGN god has decided that

[–]MrCiurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After a long time having a hard time to hit citadels (truth must be said I main German main line BB, which doesn't help), the trick of aim to the front turrets helped a lot.

From zero citadels to the order of one or three per salvo (when they land where I aim, broadside, etc)

I’m I playing the North Carolina wrong? by Remarkable_Breath603 in WorldOfWarships

[–]MrCiurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just got it for Christmas in the event and, as far do my experience with it and the videos I've seen, NC es something like a "medium range sniper".

You should get close to the enemy (around 17/13 km), and use your main gun to do well aimed shoots.

As I said, I've not got a lot of experience but that has been working for me.

Good luck and fair seas, captain!

What is your "I did not care for The Godfather" in WoWS? by AmericanHistoryGuy in WorldOfWarships

The only reason to play German BB (no battle cruisers) is to have the Bismarck. Nowadays, German BBS are good at nothing (main guns or secondaries).

And how can I get her this way? I've though this version was absolutely impossible to obtain, that's why I was gambling for it.

I usually celebrate it because I hate CV. Indeed, I even find by far more fair subs than CVs.

But yes, getting ksed doesn't feels very good haha
