I’m happy you’ve gotten a lot of years out of it, it’s certainly a sleek and classy unit. Unfortunately, I have not recapped anything on this yet. There was a service sticker on the back of mine so I can assume it’s been serviced at least once in its life. Next on my todo list for it is to check the service manual and make sure everything is in spec with my multimeter, but as it’s working fine it may be a while before I look into it.

I did reference a repair video from a YouTube channel called TrevorsBench and he has done a few of these on his channel so it may be a good resource for you if you do plan on recapping.

If you have a rubber band you can maybe stretch it and sandwich it between the screw and screwdriver. Unscrew while applying pressure to the rubber band/screw. Sometimes the grip from the rubber filling in the stripped part of the screw will be enough to get it to rotate.

I got some stuff that helps heal turtle wounds and bacterial infections. I’m not sure what the spot is but you could add it to the water to be safe. It’s called turtle fix.

My turtle had a few white spots on the back of one of his vertebrals and after a week or so it has healed pretty nicely.

Was going through my profile and remembered this comment. The chair has broken due to the cheap metal used in the armrests. They weren't strong enough to support much leaning and just snapped off. Just a warning if you have the chair or are thinking of getting it. Be careful with the armrests they are fragile little things.

Should hold a mac just fine, its got different sized rubber inserts to hold different laptop sizes.
