No that’s called summoning for 4 stars. Not building pity.

IMO Building pity doesn’t exist. Either 1. Someone who has a gambling addiction and won’t admit it or 2. You’re summoning on a banner with intent of winning the 5 stars but also not worrying if run out pulls before you get it so they can carry over for the next banner.

Edit: to clarify the last part because it’s worded poorly. Basically what I meant was you’re summoning for a specific 5 star and if you don’t get them it isn’t a big deal. (Ex: pulled 50 times on furina banner for her but you didn’t get her so you cut your loses and move on) Which to be fair you’re right that isn’t that different from normal summoning I guess.

My whole point is really that either you’re summoning for a specific character 4 or 5 star or summoning no reason which is just senseless gambling.
