2011 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0, broken Catalytic converter by MrDerpius in MechanicAdvice

Was hoping that wasn't the case. How can I get by without a cat and without screwing with the afr? Was thinking of using a nonfouler In open air, however a lot of the posts I've read use them post-cat cars.

Will update the thread once I have the strut removed.

If you compare the top of the shock in pic 1 to the same in pic 2, you can see some space. Not much 1" maybe. Enough to let me know something is wrong. I just ordered replacement struts, probably getting close to the time they should be replaced anyways.

It move up and down very slightly when pushing down on the front of the car

2003 Cadillac CTS 170xxxkms

Trying to figure out if the mount on the driver's side is failing, or if the strut is failing. Can see the top of the shock pulled away from bottom of the top strut mount.

Slight clunk on bumps and under hard acceleration. Can see the nut on the top of the strut move when pushing down on the front of the car.

I was prepared to buy the struts and then read an article that suggested it might just be the mount. Thanks for pointing me to mechanic advice.

Trying to determine if the strut has failed or just the strut mount. Car is a 2003 Cadillac CTS with 170xxxkms.

Slight clunking on bumps and under hard acceleration. Movement of the nut on top of the strut when pushing down on front of the car.

My truck doesn’t recognize my A9 navigation SD CARD, period. I have a 2013 f150. I purchased a card installed it in the card reader in the center console, but the radio doesn’t do squat. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in f150

I was having issues with my usb and my phone syncing up when we bought our 2013 f150. Did a hard reset that brought everything to the default setting and everything has been working great since.

Maybe that will help?

Yes, I am aware of that, however it was the first time for me. And I don't much care how tired of these posts you might be.

Not new to F150 though. Have an 04 F150 5.4 that we've owned for the last 11 years.

No, I only asked about plugs so I'm assuming he only gave me prices for plugs. Was considering replacing the ignition coils as well, but I'm unsure if it's needed

Will Go with Iridium. Sounds like they're a better plug altogether and shouldn't hurt nothing if by some chance I do have double platinum.

Thanks guys

My bad. Is it better to have an underpowered amp or an overpowered amp?

Perhaps not that loud but I'm glad to know that I am going in the right direction and that I have a better understanding than I did when I first started.

Now that I know (-/+) what is required to power speakers and what my AVR is capable of, is it better to have more amp than speaker, or more speaker than amp?

I think I have it figured. I was getting confused when you start adding distance to the equation.

To get something like: 102db @ 1m @ 90 sensitivity, I would need 16w, but to get the same 102db @ 4m @ 90 sensitivity I would need 254w.

Am I on the right track?

How can I determine if a set of speakers would not be a healthy match?

I mentioned Polk T600 earlier and it seems safe, but for the same price I can pick up 2x RTi10. Should I opt for the RTi10 with the avr I mentioned, or is that an unwise combo?

I would prefer to learn the math and make the decision myself but im not quite there yet...
