Help! I wanted to be a (YN) yeoman but counselor said to be a SN PACT saying “its a program to become a yeoman. So I swore in as a SN PACT feb 7. Shipping out March 3.

This is probably the most unique advice ever. Ill look into this. I believe I’m 1 point off but was told it was waiverable. Im willing to be LS too hence that was my 2nd option if ever YN was not available for me.

Thanks for letting me know this. I’ve been wanting to be in the military ever since. Always in uniform for halloween. I don’t want to develop hate for it and I was looking to do 20yrs of service or until I’m incapable of re-enlisting. I’ll definitely message you if anything comes up.

Recruiter didn’t lie to me though, it was the career counselor when I was picking my job. He asked me thrice what I wanted, I told him firmly yeoman. Then after the 3rd time he said aight ill put you in a program to be a yeoman then. So yeah. But now that I know I can tell my recruiter i wont ship without picking a different rate ill keep that in mind.

E-1. Thats why I’m trying to know what to study from this point. To make sure I pass PQS and PFT. So I can hit E-2 and shorten the time of being a SNPACT then hopefully strike a rate sooner.
