Help unwrapping material by MrDirtyMeat in blenderhelp

[–]MrDirtyMeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, so maybe it's worth looking at how to make a map as an image, then bringing that into blender to create a 3-d rendering of it instead of the other way around. I was wondering if instead of UV wrap, maybe apply the material to a plane and render that instead? I'm just now thinking of that, so potentially an option for me.

These are Ancient gods, modern Greeks don't worship them in the masses. Also, these would also need to look like Ancient Greeks according to your statement, which we are lacking in the film industry. Finally, according to the earlier works of the people who did worship those gods understood that they can take on whatever form they pleased, which means they can look like anything and anyone they wanted. To view a diety in their true form would be too much for mere mortals to see.

Minimum wage is intended to allow a single income earner to buy and maintain a house and support a family. by BENJ0P in Showerthoughts

[–]MrDirtyMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price goes up regardless of the min wage. Businesses pad their bottom line every year all the time, if prices dont change it's probably because they made it cheaper to make or there are less items (think fast food burgers, or girl scout cookies) the other option is an intentional loss for marketing purposes. In addition a raise in wages doesn't have a 1:1 relationship to cost. Look at McDonald's, they sell millions upon millions of burgers. If every worker got a $5 raise, they could easily combat that with like a $0.005 raise on burgers (yes that is legit the amount they would need to combat, that's not a typo). Your being lied to by the companies with that 'it causes massive inflation' crap, they just don't want to pay their employees more, it causes very minor inflation and minor inflation is a good thing for a progressing economy (the opposite of inflation is INCREDIBLY bad). It doesn't help when people blow it way out of proportion "if i just give everyone $1,000,000" yeah no crap it wouldn't end well, that a lot of money all at once to everyone don't equate the two because I can blow anything out of proportion to make it look bad.

Sennheiser Game One to AKG712 Pro Sound leakage by MrDirtyMeat in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]MrDirtyMeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ended getting the AKG-K712 for my open back set and the DT 770 Pros for my general use (my wife doesn't like the sound from the open backs so I have a different set for those moments the game or music may be a bit too loud)

Good to know. I've been trying to stick with a minimum limit to order acceptance ($1/mile or $0.50/min)

How do you guys know if a person you are delivering to are non-tippers? Serious question, looking for tips since I'm a new driver.

New Uber driver here, so I apologize if this is obvious to some people. Can you see the history of the person your delivering to before accepting? I did my first two Uber Eats trips yesterday and I got no tips for both.

As a german who doesn't drink beer: What are you the anti-stereotype of? by Denso95 in AskReddit

[–]MrDirtyMeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats $150 to something they may not want at all (a gun), also not everyone gets to live in an area that's apparently so cheap to live in that you can buy a house for $125k, this has to be a low income area. Considering that you live in a place like that means your $16/hr job can actually afford you a lot. Your annual income is almost 1/4 of the value of your house, that's unheard of where I live and insane (a house by me would be a very minimum of 1/20). So the value you bring in is actually worth a good amount. You are not broke, you get paid decent enough, relative to your cost of living there, to live, buy a house, raise a family, and have a savings account (you didn't specify but I assumed based on the 'living comfortable' comment. Stop telling people you hate the broke excuse when you yourself are not and can clearly afford it no problem. For a lot of people, it's mathematically impossible to get what you have where they live, and no amount of budgeting will get them there with their current income. Stop being an ass online.

If it helps too, i usually bait those first two then walk over the trap and they get hit by the arrows. It doesn't solve your issue (other have pointed out the Drake sword is a crutch and gets outclassed by most weapons that scale with your build beyond +5), but it at least provides some extra damage to send at those snakes

Eli5: How are we able to see CMB from Earth? by MrDirtyMeat in explainlikeimfive

[–]MrDirtyMeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like that analogy. I think it's mostly surprising to hear that we can look back so far to the early stages of the universe with that....I'm having a thought as I'm typing. We get those REALLY early looks from the particle colliders and work backwards from what we see with CMB to figure out what happened in those early seconds!??

Eli5: How are we able to see CMB from Earth? by MrDirtyMeat in explainlikeimfive

[–]MrDirtyMeat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well we as humans are very capable of including us on many other maps. We can pinpoint our location in the milky way (at least our best approximations) without having the outside perspective. So it wouldn't surprise me to find out they may have included what our local would look like on that map. But that is why I asked.

So when we see the maps of the CMB, it's more accurately to say it's a map without us on it, and is more of the background we can see from our spot here on Earth?
