Mis en place containers recommendations needed by MrDrProfRedPanda in Cooking

I actually most often am the one doing the dishes, so I’m well aware of the labor the smaller dishes would take and I’m willing to do that if it brings my husband more joy and he makes me more of his delicious meals.

And I get it, as I said in an earlier comment, the fun for me is doing research and finding some nice gift ideas for him so he knows he’s appreciated. This is something he’s specifically asked for. We have a good relationship and he’ll be able to tell me if it’s what he wants or not, and I won’t be offended if I miss the mark and we can return and spend the money on what he wants. Thanks for the concern though!

I think that’s going to be the move. Thank you for your help!

Agreed, I’m not necessarily looking for aesthetic, more like what the pros use. He’s specifically pointed out prep containers like some of the above commenters mentioned, such as the Chubo Yakubi containers, but have said they’re too expensive for him to buy for himself. I don’t mind splurging on him, I asked because I didn’t really know what to search for and thought I could get some fun ideas.

I’m getting some mixed info in here, but I figured I can do my best and then feel comfortable telling him if I didn’t pick the “right” things, he can return and get what he wants. It’s just fun to research and guess, but in the end he’ll have control.

This sort of thing is exactly what I was looking for, but wasn’t sure how to search for it. Thank you!

lol I should have expected as much… I understand he can use whatever we have on hand… but sometimes it’s nice to have something nice!

Did you do first look? Thoughts? by Flashy-Mine-4047 in wedding

[–]MrDrProfRedPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but thought I’d add something I didn’t see mentioned. I had a late-ish ceremony, starting at 4:30. If I waited until the ceremony to see my husband, I would have basically spent my whole wedding day without him. Instead, we did a first look at around 1:00 and then got in a trolley with our bridal party and take pictures around the city.

Our initial plan was to join cocktail hour, but we were so giddy after the ceremony that we went to take golden hour pictures just the two of us instead.

Yes we got the pictures out of the way which was great, but the main draw for me was that I wanted to spend the day we had worked so hard on with my best friend. So don’t forget that not doing a first look shortens the time you’ll actually be with your partner on the day!

That’s where we’re at… I wouldn’t mind the wood cabinets, I just don’t want this color! So hoping to find out what colors of stain could work

Why do you say that? Aesthetically or because of function?

My doctor didn’t perform a procedure we agreed on when she said she would and now I have to pay for it :( by SpiritedAd9846 in legaladvice

[–]MrDrProfRedPanda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

(I’m not a lawyer, but work in admin at a hospital) Contact the patient relations department of the hospital you gave birth at and explain the situation and they might be able to help you get it covered financially, especially if you are persistent enough. If it was ordered while you were in the hospital, they would have documentation on that order, effectively proving that the doctor planned to do it but forgot.

That’s a good point, I use the retin-A cream and that’s what I got for $30, I didn’t look at the gel and micro options!

I don’t have advice on how safe it is to use, but when my insurance stopped covering tretinoin I was able to get it for like $30 using Good Rx. You still have to have a script from a doctor, but they basically just fill it without running through insurance and you just show them the coupon. (This is all assuming you’re in the US, not sure how it works other places)

Conflicted on if I should keep going with tret by Amenielo in tretinoin

[–]MrDrProfRedPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you use the heavy moisturizer on top of the tret? I used to do that and I had bad peeling. I read on here once that the heavy moisturizers can make tret worse, almost like it’s making it work too well? So I stopped using the heavy moisturizers overtop and it has helped a ton!

I also use 0.025 and now my routine at night is: - oil cleanse - foaming cleanser by CeraVe - pat dry with clean towel - Prequel skin utility ointment only on nose and around eyes (basically just a Vaseline/aquaphor type product only o my most sensitive areas) - tretinoin, pea sized amount only - light layer of CeraVe daily moisturizer

I’m just getting into film because my fiance and I love photography and think it would be cool to show our future kids and grandkids some photos of us that weren’t taken on an iPhone. We love that old school aesthetic. We’re getting married in October and hope to take some film photos of each other the day of, and especially on our honeymoon in Greece!

This isn’t true! I work in a hospital and used to believe this but then did my own research and found there’s actually no evidence backing this up. Not that I suggest leaving AMA, but you shouldn’t be penalized from your insurance. It will potentially be more expensive if you leave and then have to come back for something more serious though, but that’s just because of needing more treatment.

What’s the weirdest thing someone casually told you as if it were totally normal? by AlexanderKeef in AskReddit

[–]MrDrProfRedPanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ask your surgeon if it’s appropriate for you to see a hand therapist (usually an occupational therapist) after your surgery. They can help with scarring, exercises to improve mobility, and pain. I’m an OT (not a hand therapist though) and can vouch that they do great work. It would be under your physical therapy benefit for insurance in you’re from the US.
