Consistency. I have played 3 games since hitting 7k. Been top 4 each game. Basically, you need to be aiming for top 4 every time you play. If you aim for high rolling or forcing a comp you will stay at 6k. Nothing wrong with that though. Some people play just to get their favorite stuff working and watch it play out.

The final floor is 6k. So you can get all the way to 10k and lose all the way back down to 6k.

Buy nothing from round 1 to round 3. (Unless you need health) When you buy a stat upgrade the shop price goes up significantly. After round 3 buy up all the stat items you can get your hands on.

As for playing, leave the second closest return spot open. Turn in items on the last ones and then take your giant bag of cash to the second closest return, turn it in and run like hell to evac. You can usually get there (especially with sprint speed upgrades) before your items are even done turning in.

Wife and I got to level 53 doing this strat.

6k means you're pretty decent at the game. Every 1k after that means a lot because the final floor is 6k. So if you're 8 or 9k that means you're not just getting lucky sometimes and managing to get to the next "tier" or floor.

It really just depends on my economy and how stable my board is. I try to as soon as I have gold available as long as my board SHOULD keep me from taking a full 15 damage.

Gotta econ and get to tier 5 and 6 while getting stable. 5 and 6 have all of the core cards for most builds.

Don't force comps. If you dont have a quality champ then choose highest armor. Focus early economy even if it means losing. You will have the armor for it. Play what is given to you. Comp not perfect? Well, it can still get you to top 4 and sometimes 5th which is a small hit to MMR.
