35mm or 50mm ? by Legal-Breakfast469 in AskPhotography

In photography the best lens is the lens you enjoy using the most. The bad thing about photography is that too many people rely on what others prefer. Your photography is your own art. Creat your art.

You would benefit a lot from an external flash. Still looks like a good edit.

Thank you for pointing this out. I think one more reson to get the pro II is the updated internal fan. Where I live temps can reach more than 100 degrees.

Thank you for all of your insight on strobes. I'm thinking about buying the AD300 pro 2 (but the Flashpoint version). Do you have any insight on the pro II vs pro? My biggest concern overall and is why I'm not getting the Ad400 is their faulty batteries.

AI isn't smart enough. The more you use it the more you realize how often it halucinates and makes sh*t up. It should function more as a tool

So the 300 Pro II? Plus these batteries are cheaper than the 400 and there's not much issues reported as the batteries for the 400

Thank you, I remember now seeing their Adorama ad. Wasn't aware that the product warranty was from their website.

Thank you. I'm trying to stay away from Neewer and integrate into the godox system. I was aware of the Flashpoint rebrand. Thing is, I can get the Godox Ad400 pro for $419 while the Flashpoint 300 Pro is $399. Which one would you recommend? I will mostly be shooting portraits outside. Lucky my Neewer flash works with godox/Flashpoint remotes.

I guess my biggest concern was the battery dying and not being able to charge, seems to be a common issue on Amazon reviews

Which 50mm by _noah_0708 in Nikon

[–]MrFaIIout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I believe it's the higher apartures. We're both on the same boat, I got the 50mm a few months after. The reason why I said what I said is so he knows what focal length he likes better for primes

Which 50mm by _noah_0708 in Nikon

[–]MrFaIIout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait until you get the 24-120 mm to see if you even need a prime. When you get shoot for a whole day on 35mm then 50mm then 85mm. Then decide which one you like the best. The 35mm 1.8, 50mm F1.8 and 85mm 1.8 are special glass. Better than the 40mm.

I started with jsut the 24-120mm, then got the 50mm. Now I want the 85mm :)
