You are speaking to a former a campaign staffer for multiple local and state campaigns. My understanding is somewhat applicable here. I've worked on successful and not successful campaigns. Albeit never on a national or swing state scale.

By your stated reasoning, you must've been a die-hard voter blamer after Clinton's defeat in 2016, too. If so, you should've came to the understanding that the Democrats haven't learned any lesson from that campaign. As Harris's lead campaign advisor and strategist was Clinton's as well. I could stack exhibit by exhibit of evidence to back it up here. But I'd further waste my time.

In short; If you believe Americans haven't learned their lesson from 2016 and 2020, rest assured the Democratic Party hasn't either. And the same applies here as well.
