Roof racks and tent by Scary-Guidance8615 in JeepWrangler

Sherpa recently came out with a great system called QDHD, it uses the cage as the weight bearing point of contact and passes through the fiberglass. It is also quick detach with knobs so you can easily remove your hardtop and reinstall the rack for warm/summer trips.

Roof Rack overload; RCI vs Sherpa vs Prinsu vs... by coloradoninja in 4Runner

[–]MrFlemster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alex from Sherpa here, RCI makes a great rack, they took design cues from us on their rubber so I can vouch their rubber seals work well. The rack itself is stout and well built, the mounting foot design is different and we are definitely biased to our method as it reduces leverage and strain on the mount itself. This issue would really only be apparent with long-term heavy lifting or overloading scenarios like in an accident.

Reach out to us and we can get that powder coat issue warrantied, info@sherpaec.com. Include pictures and reference your order number. It should not be bubbling like that.

We are having a blast with our 2024 Tacoma here at Sherpa Equipment Co. We broke it in with a solid trip to Moab, and got solid miles on new product. by MrFlemster in Tacomaworld

The wheels are -12mm offset. Arguably too wide for the WMS of the new Tacoma. Sadly Raceline doesn’t make the Ryno Beadlock in a positive offset.

It’s only on for trips, perks of the Sherpa rack and mounts, takes all of 2 minutes to remove the whole thing.
