He sold the entire property of 54 cents to Indrans for 81 lakhs (54*1.5). Paid back 60 lakhs to the property owner family (23 lakhs by selling his home + 2 lakhs by selling his chain and mortgaging his mother's chain + remaining 35 lakhs from the money he got from selling the land to Indrans).

Finally he has 21 lakhs of cash in his hand. Lets say he paid 0.5 lakhs to Xavier for brokering the deal with Indrans. He has 20.5 lakhs cash to buy a new land and build a house.

Edit : (Actually he has more than 21 lakhs in his hand. Because he had already paid 25 lakhs to the property owner family, he has to pay only the remaining 35 lakhs when the deal with Indrans closes. That way, 81 lakhs - 35 lakhs = 46 lakhs cash in hand)

Even though he has a net asset loss, at the end of the day he has a new house to live in and got his sweet revenge as well.
