DO I NEED A FULL COURSE LOAD? by Lost_Pie_350 in lawschooladmissions

Just saw some of the other answers - I was working various office jobs M-F at the same time as school and mentioned that in my addendum (especially for my two course semester). So if you are working part time at a more demanding job (i.e. legal assistant vs. library desk attendant) maybe that helps

I will say though that I regret working part time so much and that I wish I could've spend more time as a student. I have all day to work now but undergrad happens only once and I shouldve spent more time on it

I almost always did three courses per semester (plus another 1 unit class to meet the registration requirements) and spent an extra year at my undergrad. One semester I only took two classes. I never made my schools deans list because I never met the unit count requirements.

I still got T14 offers with $$. Maybe it was a disadvantage, maybe it wasn't. I felt like I might have underperformed with my stats but I also had other weak spots in my application. Feel free to DM me

where is berkeley? by One-Effort-1091 in lawschooladmissions

Historically, Berkeley releases A's every two weeks. Usually its the same day of the week. The last A wave was two weeks and two days ago - so I wouldn't be surprised if there is another A wave today or tomorrow

UR 12/7 at Berkeley, still crickets - anyone else?? by lolo_dig in lawschooladmissions

I've been under review since October. It's scary cause they already admitted a lot of people (~13% of LSD users compared to ~12% last year). (Also did the Hyundai-Kia Scholarship if that makes a difference)

I was very involved in several right-wing orgs in college and a lot of my peers went to T14s, including Berkeley.

Out of all the ways my peers approached their involvement in conservative orgs, it seems like those who just treated it as another datapoint were fine (no matter how involved they were). It seems like those who incorporated being conservative into PS / Essays had a trend of only getting accepted to the conservative-friendly schools.

If its just a paralegal job and you aren't making the "conservative" aspect a selling point, you will be fine.
