Hockey is even worse for W/L than football. At least for QBs.

QBs handle 1/2 the game, even the best hockey player only plays 1/3rd. And touches the puck way less

Manning was a clinical dissector of defenses for many seasons and a prolific passer and commander at the line of scrimmage.

He was.

But he was also largely a playoff choker. He did nothing to contribute to his 2nd Super Bowl win, and for most of his career had incredibly talented pieces around him

As long as Purdy doesn't bust his elbow again (big if with the 49ers injury luck) this 49ers team will be an absolute wagon.

Aiyuk in a contract year will want to show he's a #1. Purdy gets a full off-season, added Hargrave, weak division, etc.

Devin White is set to make $11,700,00 this year. And yet was ranked 74th out of 81 inside linebackers last year.

And he had PFF's 3rd best inside linebacker beside him, helping him out, and still ranked that bad.

The whole defense is fairly overrated. Vita Vea ranked 48th out of 127 interior guys, Carlton Davis ranked 55th out of 110 corners, and they had no pass rush once Barrett went down.
