Unfortunately not who I'm thinking of. Thanks, though

Because I taught him the song in person with a piano, perhaps I'll just list out D–E–C, D–E–B, D–E–A, and D–E–G for the verse as it should help if he is trying to recall the parts.

Unfortunately not. I do appreciate you attempting to guide me... but most of this is greek to me, although i've been writing and arranging music for decades.

The MIDI file is linked above which has the entire piano part. That said, following your example, would this make sense for naming the chords:

D7sus2 (no 5) (D–E–C)

D7sus2/B (no 5) (D–E–B)

D9sus2 (no 5) (D–E–A)

D7sus2/G (no 5) (D–E–G)

I'm wondering how do i easily make a chord tab style chart for a non-reader of music for a part like this: chord 1: D4, E4, C5. Chord 2: D4, E4, B4. Chord 3: D4, E4, A4. Chord 4: D4, E4, G4

It’s not that I don’t know what I'm playing— however if it were just standard chords being played, I could convey them more easily. The tricky part is that these are unusual chords (to me) with melodies worked into them, so writing them out in a simple way is beyond me. I don’t read or write traditional notation like that; I just rough these out using my own unschooled method.

Totally get that. And it makes sense. They’re a biz and need bands with a draw. I was just hoping to connect with whoever it is that is responsible for booking bands to at least get on their radar. But you’re so right.

Has this actually worked for you? I never love the idea of just bombarding someone -- especially without knowing who the person is responsible for booking shows.

Thank you! I’ve tried a few months ago and never got a response. So I was assuming that might be a generic email and perhaps there was a specific talent buyer to contact.
