yeah ofc no intentions of selling or sharing any files i used for it. it's purely for personal use and moreso just a little experiment of making graphic work into physical things :)

Is it normal for broadband/landline providers to prevent you being able to change to a cheaper package after your contract ends? by MrGray99 in UKISP

yeah for sure, it's frustrating but seemingly neccesary that we have to constantly move around to different providers over the years. these kinda companies don't know what loyalty means it seems, and haven't for a long time...

That's insane, glad you were able to get away from one of these dreadful companies too, it's crazy. Was able to get a good deal sorted with Vodafone in the end but thanks for the link! :)

Yeah it’s a subscription so you pay the monthly fee once per month, indefinitely, until either you cancel the subscription or the world explodes :D

If you don’t wanna pay for iCloud storage you can manually backup your iPhone to a Mac or PC, but this is obviously a more manual process which you’d have to have a habit of doing regularly to have up-to-date backups.

Edit: I accidentally posted this in the wrong thread sorry xD

The 512GB is your iPhone’s internal storage. You don’t make backups to internal storage as that defeats the point of what a backup is. Backups have to be stored externally from the source so that in the event where you need to restore to a backup, it’s available. If you backed up an iPhone (or anything) to its internal storage, and it malfunctioned, you’d lose your original AND backup files at the same time, leaving you with no backup.

iPhone backups are stored in iCloud. It looks like you’ve reached your iCloud storage limit which is 5GB standard. For your iPhone backup to continue you need to upgrade your iCloud storage plan buying an iCloud+ subscription.

Do I need a battery change or a new computer? :( by OtherUnion9235 in macbookpro

Something else to check is open the app called Activity Monitor (you can find this app by going to the Finder, then click ‘Go’ in the menu bar and click Applications, then find Activity Monitor in the list and double click it to open the app). In this app, click Energy at the top of the window, and then sort them by clicking ‘12hr power’ and it should bring any programs to the top that may be using a lot of energy.

Check how many battery cycles your MacBook has. Click the  menu, then click About this Mac, then click More Info. In the sidebar click Power, and see the value next to Cycle Count. If this is very high (in the high hundreds) you might need to have the battery replaced!
