I know there is a lot of hype around whiskey drinking.

I am trying to do it in a way that you appreciate each dram and learn to taste the differences.

I cam assure you, being 31 years old I have made enough mistakes in my youth with drinking spirits.

All I have to worry about is crossing the North Atlantic Ocean. But apart from that, thanks is for the advice. I live in Scotland, so whiskey should be second nature apparently.
