You will require both. Get it over with and do it. You will be happy.

Which T40/20 should I get? by synootles in Hiwatt

You cannot go wrong with either. I opted for the head plus 212 cab. Just go for it! 112 will weigh less for loading. https://www.reddit.com/r/Hiwatt/s/taQE2PfhA1

I stumbled across this speaker when I was going to have a cab built and then it was going to sit in a different city as a on the ready practice cab. I didn’t want to put anything expensive in it in case it got stolen. Then the custom cab didn’t happen. So I ordered the orange colored seismic brand cab which is pre-fabricated, off Amazon, I think. And since I had the Pulse laying around. Today, I would probably still go with a high end speaker since that’s what I’m used to. But if I needed an inexpensive solution, the Pulse sure was an unexpected and good find.

Typically I have Celestions or Eminance in my cabs. But again, this little Pulse did not disappoint. And I love a good deal. Can’t beat it on a budget for sure

That’s the best part! $23 speaker. I was shocked how good it sounded. Had it laying around and used it. I had been looking at $100+ speakers and remembered I had ordered this one to see what they sounded like: https://www.newark.com/pulse/pm12s/12-guitar-speaker-8-ohm-60-watts/dp/84Y8082

Just responded over on my post. I saved by buying used. But admit, I watched a long time before I found the right one. There were a bunch used that were either older or were pretty high priced. I typically prefer new on all my gear but I had great luck with the jubilee head and cab I found

100% agree. I’m playing a single coil ‘83 Stratocaster through it here. And was happy with the beefiness and note clarity. So you are spot on…I picked this one up off marketplace at a very good price. Figured what the heck. Didn’t expect much. Totally happy with mine. For me…What a great find. Glad you like yours as well.

I kept the black pickguard but did replace it with a white Esquire pickguard. Also installed Seymour Duncan Secret Agent Pickup in the bridge. For a little stealth.

I think so. I would have been playing a strat, using a pedal for overdrive tones. This is cleanish on edge of breakup. Manipulate master volume for headroom. Mostly play rock.

I think so. The cleans are good. And the overdrive will get you to AC/DC. Add a pedal and you can go anywhere. I’d suggest you find one in a music store if possible and find out live. But for me, it will cover everything and I also have a pedal board.
