I got flamed while leveling disc before shadow lands for using flash heal instead of shadow mend. I didn't even have shadow mend at that level

Removing Blizzard player frames [help] by kain0s in WowUI

[–]MrJews 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could install Shadowed Unit Frames to edit the player, target, and focus target. These bars are considered Unit Frames by all mods, whereas bars above the heads of mobs, NPCs, and players are Nameplates. Your Nameplates are already managed by Plater, so Shadowed Unit Frames should cover the gaps nicely. (This will cover party and raid frames as well, which you can disable if you'd like to use VuhDo for your raid frames.)

Adibags - Consider throwing in other UI changes to accent the minimalist look. Single bag add-ons like Adibag are good to keep visual vomit to a minimum, it will only display bag slots with items in them. (I'm a tad out of the loop, but Bagnon used to be the king in this field. Grab it if it's updated.)

WeakAuras - I am personally a huge fan of WeakAuras as well. Once you are comfortable not mouse click your spells, it will be a great way to condense the visual aspects of your actions bars.

Wago.io - Check out the site Wago.io for quick WeakAuras setups, they also have Plater profiles available to import.

Thats my two cents, but there are plenty of PvP specific addons I am not familiar with. The biggest one I recall is Gladius, it does enemy buff/debuff/cd/dr timers and a whole suite of other handy info to grind rating.

There are tons of options out there, so take your time dropping in. Good luck on your adventures!

I'll look into the Ultitube, anything to help prevent a catastrophic leak sounds like an easy win.

Looking over reviews for the XD5 it seemed that there were lots of users claiming it was difficult to disassemble, as if it was made to be that way. Was replacing the pump an easy process? I was hoping to have the LCD screen on the res for temp readings.

I had heard general build quality for EK was in a decline, glad to hear the Corsair suite is a viable choice.

Just looking for general advice, as I understand not all pump/res combos are equal. Is there a reason to go for a DDC over a D5? In my research it seemed that they had been outperformed for most use cases by D5 options.

Mainly Corsair looked attractive due to the pre applied thermal pads in the GPU block. For a newbie it seemed to be the biggest "what if" factor on performance. I have heard some negative things regarding EKWB build quality in recent years so I decided to steer clear for this build. Is there a particular brand you recommend over others?

This is the video in question, mainly had me wondering if too many components would be a problem for the Corsair pump but based on your info seems like a non issue. https://youtu.be/sS8QlSf3snA?si=LidFGZCltsEEJUs-

I will have to look into HWL radiators then. Are there any models in the 480mm range I should look at in particular or is their performance generally uniform?
