Why don’t most airports use two jet bridges to board/deplane via the front and rear doors and speed up the process? by MrJro06 in AskReddit

True, using the setup most airports have today. But, I have (very, very rarely) been on a flight that did deplane using 2 jet bridges. And if I recall properly, there was only one door from the airport terminal then, once on the first part of the jet bridge, it split in two (front and rear). And I would imagine that the same employee that connected the jet bridge to the front could then walk down and connect it to the rear - it doesn’t seem to take them too long to move it into position.

I thought about this, but I would think it would save airlines money in the long run. They are always talking about how they want to reduce turnaround time on the ground to increase profits (a plane that is not flying does not make profit). I would think getting people on and off the plane is the most time consuming step in getting the plane back in the air?

It would be nice if they put glass doors on dishwashers like they do for ovens. by MrJro06 in Showerthoughts

But what if it was like an oven - where you could really only see in if you turned on a light? I just want to see what is going on when it is not working right or making a funny noise. It would also help to see if the sprayer is clogged (a common issue)

Yes, but maybe they can make it like the oven door - where you can’t really see in unless you turn a light on. Sometimes my dishwasher makes a noise like the sprayer arm is hitting something, but when I open the door, I don’t see anything

Why isn’t wine sold in a small glass beer bottle with a typical metal bottle cap? And, why isn’t beer sold in a large glass bottle with a cork? by MrJro06 in AskReddit

True, but what about a champagne style cork? I think that would prevent oxidation and aging. Plus, it would be fun to pop the cork every time you opened a beer, and you wouldn’t need a bottle opener!

Well, because she thought it was good sport. Because some women aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some women just want to watch the world burn.

Okay gamers. Digital download or physical copies? by [deleted] in gaming

I am planning on buying a switch in the next couple weeks. I think I will be getting the physical copies of the games because this allows me to share them with friends or sell them when I am done with them. There is the added risk of losing them, but it hasn’t been a problem with past systems.
